Hot off the press, the Cinemacity trailer is now online, a month and a half before the public launch of the Cinemacity experience. Just in time to be presented at the Cannes Film Festival Cross Media Corner…
Cinemacity immerses you in the setting of films shot in Paris by allowing users to view a movie clip in the very location where it was shot. Each clip is geolocated on a map of Paris, or the “Cinemap.” The clips are connected to one another to form cinewalks (e.g.: The Belleville Kids), which let users discover the city and the world of cinema in an original way.
Cinemacity is also the Cinelab, a creative laboratory that produces original fiction-walks in 5 episodes on the neighborhood scale. To go from one episode to another, users are invited to walk from one location to the next. Users are also encouraged to express their creative side by sending a “sweded” version of a film shot in Paris. The best creations will be awarded prizes at the Cinemacity Festival in 2014.
Produced by Arte and Small Bang, in partnership with the Paris City Hall, with the support of the CNC and our first VOD platforms (Arte VOD, Pluzz, UniversCiné), Cinemacity is a free experience. Public launch: Summer 2013!
